General meeting

The department of mechanical engineering has held a general meeting at dr. Muneer hall; at the meeting several important aspects including the current educational system and how to improve the    class material for our students.

The meeting also dealt with several issues the first year students encountered and how to solve them. Also, the department presidency acknowledged the faculty members who were promoted and     those who earned Master’s and Ph.D. Degrees.

A scientific visit for power plants engineering branch – fourth year students.

The fourth year students of power plants engineering branch have held a scientific visit to southern Baghdad power plant – thermal station to learn about the parts of the power plant and its principle of operation.

During the visit, some department employees offered detailed explanation for the station’s operation, parts and troubleshooting. Students were accompanied by branch head and several faculty members.

A special meeting for undergraduate students – evening study

The department of mechanical engineering has held a meeting with first year students – evening study to discuss many points such as the educational system and the branches of the department. Also, students were encouraged to commit to their classes and to avoid unnecessary absence.

The faculty members also listened to students concerns and issues in order to find a suitable and quick solution for their problems.

Mechano wins one more time again on the row

   On Thursday 22-11-2018 a football game was held between mechanical engineering department and material engineering department team. The mechanical engineering team won the game by four goals against one goal.
